Two posts in 2 days? I bet you don't know what's hit you! It's been an odd few weeks but I can definitely say I'm glad they're over - not that I've wanted to wish my life away but it's pretty difficult when all you want to do is spend your time sleeping.
I was told of the after effects of radiotherapy but nothing could prepare me for that of the brain, which dare I say it, was only 2 sessions. I was prescribed steroids to help with the headaches caused but when that ended that's where it all changed.
I heard that RT could have some longer lasting effects and as soon as I finished those steroids I spent the following two weeks like a zombie. I missed the kids like crazy as they were staying at my parents but I didn't even have the energy to walk over there, or even make myself any food.
In the meantime though, I finally had a progress scan which confirmed a continued growth on my left breast (which I could feel anyway) a few more mets have appeared on my lungs and I now have an appearance on my liver. I've been told by my doctor it's nothing major and the fact that I am now being put forward for more treatment has kept my outlook positive.
The only trouble is that I have a choice to make and I don't know if that's a blessing or a curse. 🙈
We admire you, so strong and so very brave, thinking of you always, love reading your blogs ❤️xxxx
